Was Never A Fan Of Dolls...

I was never a fan of dolls, or barbie dolls to be precised; not even when I was a kid. Since I am "one of the boys", haha I prefer to play games or have toys which can enhance my imagination more than dolls can. In fact, I really find dolls very boring to play with. And they may also cost you much; unlike when you are just running around playing hide and seek or other "street games." but still can improve your social skills or the spirit of camaraderie without compromising enjoyment.

Not being a fan doesn't mean I don't appreciate the dolls' beauty, though. And I understand why moms would like to see their daughters play with dolls instead of getting their selves sweaty and dirty from the streets. However, I just don't adore the typical Barbie dolls. I even find it hilarious to see very expensive yet common-looking dolls! But I happen to stumble upon a website promoting "Enchanted Dolls." Indeed, such dolls were enchanting. And seeing such dolls made me want to have them.. for the first time.. lol

These dolls may look a bit scary at first; but hey, look at the details. Aren't they awesome? :D

Not only that they look like real beautiful ladies, but they're so cute; their size, that is. Of course, they're also fragile and flexible.. So, handle with care.. ;)

I wonder who can give me these...  :D

I also stumbled upon these Crochet Dolls made by a Filipino doll creator named  Erin Chupeco.

"Erin has created every sort of doll you can think of! Movie, game, literature, and television characters, as well as the occasional famous person."

Your Purpose In Life

Do you know what your purpose in life is? Have you already realize the point of your existence in this world? Do you know why we are here? What is our purpose? Why were you born? Don’t you think there is a unique reason why you are brought into this world? Why were you given life? Is there something that you can do for the benefit of many?

Perhaps you have also found yourself asking these questions. Or maybe, your teacher, friend or even a stranger made this inquiry to you. Do you have a concrete and confident answer? Many people say that a life without cause is a life without effect. If you don’t know what your purpose in living, then you are likely to live a dull kind of life. Though that may be true, I think it still depends on the way you live your life whether you know your purpose or not.

I myself, is like a directionless sail or a lost lamb. I can always find myself wondering why the hell I am here. And until now, I still don’t know the real answer. What I know is that I live for today. And though I may be looking forward to another day, what matters to me the most is that I am able to enjoy each day. Live without regrets. Live life to the fullest. Find joy even in the smallest and simplest of things. Dream and laugh as much as you can.

Becoming a blessing to other people, especially to those who are in need, is perhaps one of our responsibilities while we are living in this world. To be of assistance to others may be one of our purposes. To enhance the world’s natural resources and not fully destroy it as well as to do things which can benefit both the humankind and Mother Earth – these are the most neglected acts that all of us ought to do.

You are not here simply to quench your thirst for fun. Your job or businesses and your money are not the only things you greatly need, especially now that a lot of calamites are making people all over the world suffer. While you are busy worrying where to spend your money, some people are shedding their blood and sweat just to be able to feed their families a single meal. So no matter how little you have, always be contented and feel grateful about it. Compare your situation with others before you go asking for more.

It seems like I’m not really hitting the point. But these are my thoughts for today. I am getting disturbed, worried and afraid of all the things happening in this world right now. Yet, I still don’t know what my purpose is. I want to help those who are terribly suffering yet I cant even fulfil even the simplest of things. I know I am way too much blessed than other people; so maybe that’s why I feel guilty. It’s never easy to define anyone’s purpose in this world. For me, it doesn’t really matter, as long as you try to live without bringing forth harm to other people, you deserve to live.

Things Anime Can Teach You

You certainly can learn a lot of things from anime. From those encouraging words to the many "truth-hurts" instances, a lot of circumstances that most anime characters face are similar to real life stories and are even more direct. Depending on the genre of anime that you're watching, you can get loads of catchy phrases and even priceless humor or punchlines. While it is recommended for parents to guide their kids when watching some anime, especially those with many violent scenes, popular anime are more directed to empowering the youth than lead them astray.

Thus, let me share to you, some of the funny yet more of realistic instances that anime usually can show you:

Either love or friendship conquers all.
- Even if the main character becomes the most evil person, his love for a woman or his friends would always win him back to the good side.
- There's always a probability that one of the villains or the leader himself would change sides all thanks to the power of love and friendship.
- This is perhaps one of the nearly-realistic aspect of anime. Just that, they tend to exaggerate things.. eheheh :P

Characters from any anime have more than enough supply of tears.
- Well, that's obviously one of the funny things about watching anime. Can't imagine myself "crying a river." And seeing the coolest or the funniest guy cry can truly touch your heart.

Most villains share the same goal - to conquer or destroy the planet due to various reasons; revenge is perhaps the common trigger.
- For those who want to conquer the world, I think the creator of such anime just want to remind us of the many corrupt government officials we have. Talking about lust for power.. *sigh*
- However, for those who want to destroy it, what's the point? It's either the villain is committing suicide or is secretly aiming for a new world. hmmmm :D

The fate of the planet rests in the hands of the seemingly normal high school student.
- A typical attribute for a young hero... Sometimes, the one who's always being bullied would eventually become the strongest person in the planet... :D

If a sister falls in love with her brother, somewhere down the line you will discover that they're not blood related.
- You can observe this not just from anime but also in most TV shows; particularly those targeted to adult viewers.

Smart people wear glasses.
- These kinds of people in any anime would always appear to be the techie or genius friend of the lead character. They would always come in handy, especially when it comes to analyzing the opponents and stuff. :D
- And usually, they tend to be weak. Either their character is weak to begin with or that they're just pretendng to be.

The martial arts expert or any strong/cool guy is always defenseless against the slap (or even from a "warning look") of the woman he adores.
- aha! Girl Power! lol

The more beaten the hero or the lead character is, the stronger he becomes.
- Well, this sure is true; not just in anime but also in real life and other TV shows. Some people believe that soldiers have more will or courage to fight and live the moment they got wounded.

How Informed Are You About The Bible?

When I was a kid, I was taught a song about reading the Holy Bible - "read your Bible and pray everyday,  as you grow, grow grow... Also, my grandparents would always make sure that my siblings and I could learn something new everyday or each week from reading the Bible. So although I'm not really a church or religion enthusiast, I was brought up having the fear of the Lord. But I know it's never enough. And these days, I'm one of the busy folks who no longer have the time to even look at the Bible. Honestly, it's more of like not putting so much effort into doing so. :(

Whether you are a believer or not, I think you have heard a lot of stuff about the Holy Bible. In fact, the Bible is still the world's best selling book. However, most people having a bible don't actually know the important things that make up a Bible. Some don't even give a damn reading it even just for once. Therefore, let me share to you the "basics" or the structure of the Bible:

The Bible, or the Christian Bible to be specific, is made up of 66 so-called "Books." Various "chapters" are what make up each book. The Chapters are then divided into "Verses" or the ones we commonly call as lines or passages from the bible.

It's being said, and believed by many - especially the Christians, that the Bible is a compilation of the "word of God" which was written by more or less 40 people from all over the world. He passed his words to his disciples, prophets and other messengers, including historians and poets, so it shall be spread and known.

The Bible used by the Christians or the Catholics are divided into the Old and New Testaments. It seems like you can find the prophecies about the Birth of Jesus from the Old testament while the New testament mostly tells the life of Jesus and other holy messages or prophecies, including the signs of the Second Coming of the Lord. Books from the Old testament were composed during the time of Moses.

The Old Testament has 39 books; from Genesis which has 50 chapters to the book of Malachi having 4 chapters only. Psalms, with 150 chapters, and Proverbs which is containing 31 chapters are perhaps the most popular books found in the Old Testament. Obadiah is the shortest book in this testament as it only contains 1 chapter; Psalms takes the lead in terms of length or number of chapters.

Books 1 to 5 of the Old Testament are commonly refered to as the Torah or the Pentateuch. Books 6 to 16 tells the history of Israel. Books 17 to 22 are known as the books of Poetry or Wisdom. It is from the books 23 to 27 that you can find many fulfilled prophecies from the regarded prophets such as Daniel, Isaiah and the others. The remaining books are short in length; thus termed as the Book of Minor Prophets.

On the other hand, 27 books comprise the New Testament. It is from Matthew, containing 28 chapters, until the book of Revelations with 22 chapters. The books of Acts and Matthew both have 28 chapters; the ones with the highest number of chapters. Philemon, 2 John, 3 John and Jude only have 1 chapter.

You can find the "four gospels" or the books of Mark, Matthew, John and Luke in the first 4 books of the New Testament. The Gospels tell about the life and teachings of Jesus. Moreover, Books 5 to 26 are what consist the Epistles, also known as Letters. And last but not the least is the Revelation. It is written by John upon given the "visions of the future." Most people know that this is where you can have a glimpse of the Apocalypse or the End of the World.

Step Into The World Of Anime

I have always been fascinated with anime ever since I was a kid. Aside from those super heroes and other fantasy-based characters or cartoons shown in television (of course, the Internet was still not popular or not yet around during my younger days), anime has also captured my heart. Actually, it has already become a “slight addiction” or a “controllable obsession.” LOL. When I was a kid, my brothers and I would try to play the roles of our favourite super hero or anime character like Gokou from Dragon Ball Z. We would buy stuff like stickers and posters of anime; just like the rest of average anime fans.

Anyway, many (old and can’t-relate people think that watching anime is just a waste of time. Though it may be true that anime is one way to escape reality, you can actually learn a lot of sensible and inspirational things. The wisdom that some anime can give is even more worth your time than digging those typical television shows, especially drama-based ones. You can certainly find anime with more mature storyline. Anime is not just for kids or teens and young-at-heart folks, it can cater to anyone’s inclination to fantasy and art.

Looking at the way anime is drawn or created, wouldn’t you find yourself admiring its beauty? Most anime characters are, depending on the style of the creator, drawn according to perfection. Their physical attributes would leave teen girls sighing or giggling with admiration; while boys are likely to get inspired from the virility of male anime characters or dream that anime girls would turn into reality. For me, anime is indeed a work of art. It can aid in improving your imagination; which I think is also an important part of our being. Anime is also a good stress-reliever and not just some mere way to pass your time – works well for me. :D

For those who are still not aware, cartoons and anime are not entirely the same. Although they are both a form of animation, anime is mainly a product of Japan or the Japanese animation. One can easily distinguish anime from cartoons whether it’s the traditional or modern adaptation. But considering its popularity, especially now that you can find loads of sources online, Western countries and other parts of the world have also made it possible to produce their own “anime”. Avatar: The Last Airbender is perhaps the most popular Western TV series created based on the concepts of anime.

Furthermore, those who are familiar with anime may have also heard about manga. In fact, most anime fanatics now are also into reading a manga; either they would read a manga version of their favourite anime or an anime version of their much-loved manga. However, not all anime are made out of its manga or a manga version turned into anime. Some anime are based on video games and even television drama series. There are also live-action series and movies based on anime such as the Dragon Ball Z and many more.

I will be sharing to you some more comprehensive information regarding anime and stuff on my future posts. Watch out for them as you will surely learn a lot of cool and fun facts revolving in the world of anime and manga. Whether you are an anime fan or not, it sure is fun to gain knowledge of that a lot of people are very much fond of. Maybe someday, you will find these things useful and fascinating, too.

Let The Journey Begin...

I am always fond of reading blogs or visiting sites wherein I can learn from other people's point of view. It amazes me how knowledgeable and smart many people are; particularly if they really put an effort in living their dreams or sharing their passion.

I myself want to share a lot of things. But most of the time, I dont have much motivation to do so. I have some many things in mind that I want to put in words. But due to poor time management (most likely), being a lazy bum (if only there's a machine I could use to automatically transfer my thoughts in blog posts.. ahaha) and of course, other priorities, I always end up either forgetting what I intended to do/post or just losing the interest to keep it coming.

Maintaining a blog is not really my thing. I'm not the artisitc type nor the detailed one. Simplicity is beauty, for me. I dont even give a damn about ad sense and stuff (maybe not yet.. lol). I want to share stuff, but it doesnt mean that I can always do it. It sometimes depends on my mood. But now, something came up. And for that reason, I think I am more motivated to keep this blog running.

I am so interested in anime or manga. I'm one of the many fans out there. I may not be young enough to still dig anime and stuff; however, I'm always young at heart... ahaha.. besides, anime is not just for kids and teens. Some anime genres are mature or violent enough for kids to love and be exposed with. So expect to read a lot of posts concerning anime and manga.

Moreover, I'm also fond of pictures/images of architectures, sceneries and other works of art. I love to appreciate people's talents. And I share anything that I see interesting. I also like to share inspirational quotes and stories.

My online sanctuary is a place for me to freely express my thoughts, dreams and passion. I am not a "speaker" type of person. Though I'm kind of open and talkative to my friends, I prefer to put things in words. And though I cant always find the right words, maybe some images will do. I dont write or post with flashy and hard-to-understand words. I am frank, direct and I prefer to express things as simple as I can. And when I get the hang of it, I tend to get carried away (I tend to write long blog posts.. ahaha).

Anyway, I hope that I can be of help or provide fun and information to those who would stumble upon my blog. ciao! :D
