Tickle Your Thoughts

It pays to ask questions. It can enlighten you or de-clutter your mind somehow. Why not take time to ponder various issues in your life? Stop, breathe and think. Tickle your thoughts for some mental exercise. You may think that thinking or asking so many questions to yourself may actually hurt your mind or the brain itself; however, it is through making inquiries that we can learn and decide wisely. Of course, overdoing it can certainly take a toll on your mental health. Most things should always be done in moderation and after a careful analysis.

So when was the last time that you talk with yourself? What are the questions that you would usually feed your mind to process? Are you able to find the answers? Is doing this kind of contemplating helpful enough in living your daily life? Do you always find yourself worrying even about the small stuff? Are you not good in decision-making as well as in convincing yourself that things are gonna be just fine so long as you take time and great deal of effort to deal with them?

Now let me share to you some of the questions that could somehow leave you wondering:

Do you like what you are like now? Are you contented with what you have and what you are?

Is failing worse than not trying at all?

Are you one of those people who keep doing the many things which they dont actually like? maybe you are inclined to liking things which you dont really do or wont do anyway?

Have you said more things than make them happen? Are you just good in saying or thinking that you're going to do something but always ends up not doing it?

If there is one thing that you can or want to change in this world, what would it be?

Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing?

If you can live your life in a different manner, would you? How?

Were you always in control of your life?

Are you satisfied with the current flow or direction of your life? If you can change paths, would you?

Can you see where you're headed to? Do you already have a glimpse of your destination?

Should you do things the right way? or simply do the right things instead?

You’re having lunch with three people you respect and admire.  They all start criticizing a close friend of yours, not knowing she is your friend.  The criticism is distasteful and unjustified.  What do you do?

What advice can you give a newborn child if you are given the chance to do so?

Are you willing to break the law if it means saving a loved one?

Is there something weird or uncommon about you?

Is there something that you like or think could make you happy but could offend or make others hate you?

Is there something that you really want to do or achieve but something is holding you back?

Are you holding onto something that you actually need to let go of?

If you could move to other place or country, where and why?

Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton?

Are you the kind of friend that you want as a friend? Do your friends reflect the way you are?

Which is more sad or heartbreaking, a close friend transferring to another country, or one that no longer communicates with you despite seeing each other more often?

Would you rather lose all of your old memories, or never be able to make new ones?

Do you have a fear that you are having a hard time dealing with? Should you just give up on it?

Do you always prefer to hear the words spoken? Have you learned the art of listening or understanding the unspoken words?

Would you rather have less work to do, or more work you actually enjoy doing?

If you knew that everyone you know was going to die tomorrow, who would you first visit today?

Would you trade years of your life for fame and power or something that you really wish to achieve?

What is the difference between being alive and truly living?

Have you done something, like at work, without thinking about anything in return such as rewards, recognition or additional pay?

Are you afraid of committing mistakes and yet would always find yourself doing some, particularly when you should have not?

If you are given the chance to do something unordinary without anyone criticizing or judging you, what would it be?

When making decisions, do you often make them for your own good? Or just because you need to for others' sake? Do you let others make the decision for you?

If you dont change or improve now, then when?

"But sometimes, answers, the right ones or those you truly deserve, come whenever you stop asking."
